Bath Half Marathon (Update #3)

Thursday 21st January (17km in just over 1hr17mins)

"You don't need to get the bus, you can run". That's what the bus driver said to me after I jumped on the bus absolutely shattered. His comment was obviously innocent but I wasn't really in a mood for jokes! I had just ran 17km (the longest distance so far) in a time I'm really happy with and despite not really wanting to run at all, I quite enjoyed it. I no longer get awful blisters even though they are more like massive bruises now and it was a beautiful sunset over the hills surrounding Bath whilst out on the run. As I am only 4.1km off of the half marathon distance, today has been a very successful day!

Thank you to everyone that has already donated and to the anonymous donor, I still really appreciate it even though I will probably never know who you are (despite the rather cryptic clue). If you just want to be anonymous to everyone else, I would love you to get in contact with me privately so I can thank you! All donations really do help people overcome probably the most trivialised disorder in the world of mental health.

A friend of mine, Richard, shared his story and I think it does a tremendous job of helping everyone understand OCD, be that someone with first hand experience of it or not. (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/real-life-stories/ocd-sufferer-refused-leave-upstairs-7197614).

Bath Half Marathon (Update #2)

Hey everyone! I have decided to only log my long runs as I run short distances 2-4 times a week.

Tuesday 12th January (Over 15km in under 1hr12mins)

I may have blisters almost the length of my foot (not nice!) but I am very happy with my time! I feel like I should definitely be able to get under 2 hours which would be amazing. I have found that running with music can really help as my mind gets taken off of the running aspect. As it is exam time, I may be quite poor at keeping this updated but I will try.

In the meantime, enjoy this wonderfully blurry photo of me in my running stuff. Thanks to Chris and Han Van Reen for giving me the running tights and Hi-vis top (not pictured) for Christmas.
