Bath Half Marathon (Update #3)
Thursday 21st January (17km in just over 1hr17mins)
"You don't need to get the bus, you can run". That's what the bus driver said to me after I jumped on the bus absolutely shattered. His comment was obviously innocent but I wasn't really in a mood for jokes! I had just ran 17km (the longest distance so far) in a time I'm really happy with and despite not really wanting to run at all, I quite enjoyed it. I no longer get awful blisters even though they are more like massive bruises now and it was a beautiful sunset over the hills surrounding Bath whilst out on the run. As I am only 4.1km off of the half marathon distance, today has been a very successful day!
Thank you to everyone that has already donated and to the anonymous donor, I still really appreciate it even though I will probably never know who you are (despite the rather cryptic clue). If you just want to be anonymous to everyone else, I would love you to get in contact with me privately so I can thank you! All donations really do help people overcome probably the most trivialised disorder in the world of mental health.
A friend of mine, Richard, shared his story and I think it does a tremendous job of helping everyone understand OCD, be that someone with first hand experience of it or not. (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/real-life-stories/ocd-sufferer-refused-leave-upstairs-7197614).
